Party Pants (ft You've Got This and Timeless Textures - Happy Birthday

Hello!

Finally it feels like I am on the roll with my posts! Charlize has been invited to a classmate's birthday party and YAY it's a boy! I love a challenge and I always find creating male cards difficult.  So here we go...

I love the Party Pants set from the SALE-A-BRATION flyer! You will love it too!
Earn it for FREE with a qualifying order (A$90)! Contact me to make up a clever order so you can earn this set!

I heat embossed the beautiful 8 with Iridescent Ice! The most beautiful Green of all... Cucumber Crush of course!

My Product List

Hints & Things

  • Nothing adds interest to a card like a background stamp! I simply fell in love with the Timeless Textures stamp set! In this case I first stamped another background stamp from the You've Got This set in Mint Macaron end then stamped the one from the Timeless Textures set over it (the latter in Night of Navy ink).
  • All three balloons were heat embossed  - 2 with Mint Macaron, Night of Navy and Iridescent Ice and one with Silver embossing powder.
  • Nothing say Happy Birthday likes balloons! The Fancy Pants stamp set is a very handy set indeed!
  • I think this design is very easy to CASE, in any colour that might suit you!
Well I hope the Birthday Boy will like it... Now to find gift wrap to match! Oh, and a gift!

Thank you for passing through!

Take care!

Picture Perfect - Just a Note

 Hello!

Just a reminder to have a look at this week's deals! Remember they are only available Wednesday through Wednesday - so hurry up if something tickles your fancy!

Look at what I created with some of this week's products! The Happy Heart Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and the Flower Fair Framelits do work well together!

Blushing Bride and Mint Macaron...  also a perfect pair!

What else did I use:

Hints & Things

  • To add extra interest I used Watercolor Paper instead of normal smooth cardstock to emboss with the Happy Heart Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
  • I love the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack for all sorts of projects - not only Valentine's Day!
  • I used the coordinating Flower Patch Photopolymer stamp set to stamp my images before I die cut them. The blossoms were stamped with Blushing Bride ink and then heat embossed with Iridescent Ice Stampin' Embossing Powder.
It is very easy to make a quick card with Stampin' Up!'s beautiful products!

Let me know if I can help you put an order together!

Take care!

A Dozen thoughts (ft Flowering Fields) - you made my day

Hello!

One of my resolutions (yes I do make them!) for this year was to send out every card I create and -I have to say that  I'm not doing too bad!

This is my entry for this week's Global Design Project challenge. This week it is a CASE the Designer challenge by the wonderful Michelle Last. I loved all of it, especially the sketch and colours, so decided to use those as my inspiration.

Smack bang in the middle of our renovations (shortly after our move - OR as my son calls it THE MOVE!), I received a lovely card (store bought but still very much appreciated) from a lady that I just immediately connected with... Elizabeth was also a Breakthrough Reading volunteer at our last school and she is one of those people that always has a sparkle in her eyes!

This is my reply to her...

Thanks Elizabeth... With love

I coloured the White Glimmer Ribbon with my Lost Lagoon marker... stunning!

My Product List

Hints & Things

  • TWO of the items used on my card can be earned for FREE (with a qualifying order) through Stampin'Up!'s SALE-A-BRATION Promo! The Flowering Fields stamp set and the Metallics Glitter Tape! I coloured the White Glitter Tape (they come in a three-pack also including Gold and Silver Glitter Tape) with my Lost Lagoon Stampin' Write marker. You can have ANY colour Glitter Tape you desire this way! Fabulous I would say!
  • I coloured the Watercolor Wash backround stamp with my three colours, stamped on beautiful Whisper White Cardstock, heat embossed an image from the Flowering Fields stamps set with Basic Black Stampin' Embossing powder onto Vellum and layered it.
  • I added dimension with the Large Polka Dot Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
As always I hope you like it!

I wish you a beautiful day wherever you!

Take care!

Picture Perfect - The Sky is the Limit

Hello!

What a wonderful morning here in Jindalee, Western Australia! After some really hot days I can appreciate the cool sea breeze in the air... My card today captures just that... I created it with a 21st Birthday in mind, but will have to adapt it to a more masculine card.I love the outcome though and will send it to someone that needs to here the sentiment behind it. We need to send more hand made cards!!

The Picture Perfect photopolymer stamp set from Stampin'Up!'s Occasions Catalogue is simply breathtaking and it makes you look like an artist! What more can you ask for? It makes cardmaking a breeze!

Don't you feel like going for a walk along the beach...?

Bermuda Bay + Mint Macaroon = Ocean

My Product List

Hints & Things

  • I inked the Watercolor Wash background stamp with both the Mint Macaron and the Bermuda Bay inks - to soften the look, I used a soft kitchen towel to dab of some excess ink.
  • To add a hint of Gold (of course) I wrapped Gold Metallic Thread around my card front a number of times.
  • I think what brings this card to a WOW! (for me) is the Dazzling Diamond Glitter that I heat embossed onto the Vellum - I used the "grid" background stamp from the Timeless Textures stamp set for this as well as "flourish" from the same set , to add more interest to the greeting label.
  • In the end I had so much fun making this card - I realised I have to make peace with the fact that my whole house would be decorated in Mint Macaron, Bermuda Bay and Pool Party, if I didn't apply some restraint because of it's other occupants!
Let me know what you think? I would love some feed back!

I hope this week treats you well... The say: "The Sky is the Limit"!

Take care!

Botanical Blooms - My Hawain themed tag!

Hello!

Just a quick share today! A week or two ago I posted my Hawaiin themed invited  I made for my Little Missy's upcoming birthday party! Today I share the tag I made to go with the Bubble Wands she handed out instead to her classmates (instead of cupcakes)!

Really easy, but very impressive! What do you think?

My Product List

Hints & Things

  • Although I didn't stamp anything during the making of this tag, you can stamp first with the coordinating Botanical Blooms photopolymer stamp set and then die cut the images! And there you have a stepped up version! Very easy and versatile!
Like I said a quick post! Remember I love comments!

I'm still undecided about the lolly bags, because I would love to somehow continue the theme but without the same tags... I will have to ponder on it a little more...

I hope to be able to post more frequently from next week as well as keep you up to date with all things Stampin' Up! wonderful!

Take care!

Balloon Builders - Birthday Girl

Hello!

Tomorrow my baby will be 8 years old! I cannot believe it! She is an avid card maker, Barbie collector as well as lover of Purple!   Instead of making a card that she would have preferred, I made one inspired by how I feel when I think of her.... This is also my entry for this week's Global Design Project  - a theme challenge this week! I wanted to keep things simple.

Purple heart balloons for the Birthday Girl (from the Balloon Builder  Photopolymer stamp set)!

Purple heart balloons for the Birthday Girl!

Iridescent Ice Stampin' Embossing Powder adds sparkle to the balloons!

My Product List

Hints & Things

  •  I stamped over the balloon hearts with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with Iridescent Ice!

  • The sparkly stars were punched with the Confetti Stars punch from Gold Glimmer Paper. These would work perfectly for a shaker card too! The Pink sequins are from the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit!

Well , I'm off to bake cupcakes AND make tags for Bubble Wands...

After a really busy weekend (some time spent at the Emergency Ward, etc) I am happy to take part in this week's Global Design Projects  challenge! I made it! This week is a sketch challenge and I loved it!

I made this card to celebrate the birthday of a wonderful lady (and excellent card maker!).

Now I have to apologize in advance for my photos - I normally make use of the natural  day light... today I missed it!

The pretty Rose Red bow is from the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit (I removed the paperclip).

Look at those Enamel Glitter Dots sparkle! They are also from the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit.

Botanical Blooms - You're Invited

Hello!

I hope all is going well in your valley! I have to say we are starting to tick of some boxes in our new home! Our Internet is finally up and running (3 weeks later!) and the kids seem to be settling in ok! We will have new flooring installed and that will be a whole different ball game!

As I mentioned in a previous post, I will be sharing some of the goodies that I will be creating for my soon to be 8 yr old's birthday party. We will be having a Hawain themed party at home and I'm quite pleased (so is my little girl) with the invite I came up with...

This will also be my entry for this week's Global Design Project Colour Challenge  - not very easy I tell you! Mr Brain King  was the designer behind this week's challenge!

What do you think?!

This week's Global Design Project Challenge!

I started with the NEW (and awesome!) Shine On Specialty Designer Series Paper.

My Product List

Hints & Things

  • This may look like a lot of work... It was so easy with the Botanical Blooms Bundle! I kept the actual invite very simple by only stamping a few tropical leaves from the Botanical Blooms stamp set on to Whisper White thick card stock. This way I will be able to finish all invites in no time!
  • For this colour challenge my starting point was Designer Series Paper (DSP) - I went through my stash to find DSP that matched at least one of the challenge colours and it work for me (this time!).
  • Shape the flower petals and leaves in the palm of your hands before adding them to your base.
  • I used an old biscuit/cookie envelope as a template for my envelope. I keep a file with all sorts of boxes and pouches that I might like to use in future, for example just this morning I took apart this one for future use:

It is not too difficult to get the measurements from this and make your own version!

Well I am very happy with myself! Please let me know what you think - I would love some comments from you!

I hope the rest of the week treats you well!

Take care!

Going Global - I'm lost without you

Hi there!

Well I have to say the first day at their new school went very well for my kids! Phew! Now I can just focus on my day job...! Making cards with Stampin'Up! goodies!

Valentines Day is around the corner and I really wanted to make a special card for my hubby! And because I will honestly be lost without I him, I decided to be a little sentimental... In my last post I used the stunning Bloomin' Heart Thinlits Die to make a very feminine card. I decided to challenge myself by using the same die in a male card... This is how it went...

Definitely Valentine and definitely male!

I love how well the Watermelon Wonder Cardstock works with the Black and Sahara Sand paper from the Going Places Designer Series Paper Stack.

My Product List

Hints & Things

  • I stitched around the heart for extra interest (not perfect - I'm the world's worst sewer!), but I kind of like the imperfection.
  • I stamped the constellation stamp in White StazOn ink onto Window Sheet to add an extra layer.
  • The little red heart embellishments are from the Confetti Heart Punch and to make them shine I added Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Pen and also I a tiny bit of Crystal Effects.
As always I would love to hear from you! Drop me a comment! Ask me a question! Challenge me!
