You're so sublime ft Perpetual Birthday Calendar - Follow your heart

Hello!

I finally get to share my entry for this week's Global Design Project Theme Challenge (#gdp063)!The theme being "Adventure"... I decided to CASE one of my own cards. I wanted to keep it simple.

A BIG reminder that the 28th of November '16 is the last day for Stampin' Up!'s  Online Extravaganza and will feature a 24 hour Flash Sale! Don't miss out!

To get back to my entry for this week! I love the little caravan in the You're Sublime stamp set and thought that it will work just perfectly for this week's challenge!

To me a road trip spells adventure...and following your heart is definitely an adventure!

I cannot get enough of the Gold Baker's Twine from the Trio Pack in the Holiday Catalogue!

Notes

  • Just adding the splatter image from the Timeless Textures stamp set makes all the difference!
  • To colour the Caravan I used my trusty Aqua Blender, Shimmery Whitecardstock and three of my favorite Stampin'Up! colours!
  • I was unable to capture the glimmer on camera but my Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush pen added even more dazzle to my fussy cut caravan image!
I love how this card turned out! Leave a comment if you like it too!

I wish for you a wonderful week and hope that you get to spend some time crafting! If you are running out on your papercrafting supplies, please don't hesitate to contact me and I will be happy to help you out! Below you will find a gallery of the products I used to create this card!

Take care!

Peaceful Pines bundle ft Cristmas Magic - Merriest Wishes

Hello again!

From a scorching hot day yesterday to a rainy day here in Perth today! I spent some quiality time in my craftroom yesterday and this morning and will be sharing my Global Design Project Sketch challenge entry with you today(#gdp062)! A bit of sad news though, the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies that are featured in my card, have sold so well that they will not be available for sale from the 22nd of November'16! Don't dispair! They will be in next year's Annual Catalogue (available June 2017)! Do not miss out on the 25% discount on the coordinating stamp sets though - that deal is still very much on!

I decided to try something different for this one!

What a beautiful sketch! Lots and lots of possibilities!

Look at that Fancy Frost Speciality Designer Series Paper!

Notes

  • I did change the sketch orientation.
  • I used the same stamp from the Peaceful Pines stamp set but different sized Pene trees from the Perfect Pines Framelits Die set.
  • Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter gave my Pine trees a snowy effect!

Don't forget that you can find a list of the products that I used below! For your convenience I will also add a gallery of the stamps sets that are discounted at 25% until the 30th of November '16!

Rose Wonder - Happy Birthday (or Wedding Wishes)

Hello!

Sometimes, when I feel brave, I ask my regular class attendees to suggest a theme for class! This time it was a wedding theme! This is what I came up with for card number 1!

Hues of Blue to congratulate the Mr and Mrs!

Because I had no upcoming weddings, there was a birthday option!

I love adding Gold embossing powder to Vellum cardstock for a softer shine.

Notes
  • I used a Stampin'  Spritzer to add water to the centre of a Watercolour Paper layer (just enough to allow for the ink to move) and then applied three different Blues of ink with an Aqua painter. I waited for this to dry (wink, wink I used my Heat Tool) before adding a watery ink splatter to the top right hand quarter.
  • I definitely suggest die cutting the Rose Thinlit with a Precision Base Plate - it really makes cutting intricate pieces a breeze!
Below you will find my product list for easy Online Shopping! Don't forget to add this month's Hostess Code - AVZMNAYW!
You can become a Stampin'  Up! Demonstrator in 3 easy steps (even if it is only to receive up to 25% discount every time you order or for our amazing Starter Kit).

Stitched with Cheer - Christmas Joy

Hello!

I am starting of the week with my Global Design Project entry (#gdp061) - a colour challenge! I used the colours for an alternative Christmas card, because it is not everyday that you get to make Christmas Green (Emerald Envy),  Purple (Sweet Sugarplum) and Basic Black!

Who said Purple doesn't go with Christmas? Anything is possible with the Stitched with Cheer Photopolymer stamp set!

Sweet Sugarplum colourwash and Vellum... love it!

Notes
  • Something I love doing at the moment, is add an extra dry embossed layer in the same colour as my card base.
  • A few Rhinestones here and there and the Silver Natural Trim ribbon adds sparkle to my card!
As always I would love to read your comments! Below you will find my product list! Easy! Don't forget to use Novembers Hostess Code for your online orders!

Pretty Kitty - Just peeking into say hello.

Hello my card making friend!

What a morning! Let me start by saying my morning was planned to a T ...! Let's just say I again realized the bigger Plan...This morning I ended up spending 30 minutes in our school principals office and 2 hours and 30 minutes in front of a fuel station waiting for time to pass end then waiting for RAC to assist with a flat car battery! My plan was to do some blogging of course! I created I card to take part in this week's Global Design Project challenge (#gdp059) and was so excited to share it with you and then this happened! Well I am home now and typing away... without any further delay my entry for this week's theme challenge - animals/pets!

Soooo cute!!!

If you hop on over to the Global Design Project site you will see all the stunning inspiration given by the GDP Designers, but I had even more inspiration...

Harry, the most awesome cat on the planet!

Can you see the resemblance?

My Product List

Notes

  • Can I just say my favourite thing to do in the whole wide world (accept for stamping), is colouring in! Nothing is more relaxing!
  • I started off by adding ink to my stamp with Stampin' Write Markers, huffed onto it and then stamped it onto Shimmery White Cardstock. This is when the party started! I coloured the image with my watercolour crayons (I use a mix of watercolour pencils sent home from school at the end of every school year, but any brand will do)!  Stampin' Up!'s Aqua Painters works really well to add water to the watercolours. Not too much water!
  • The beautiful Happy Heart Embossing Folder added necessary interest, without overpowering the image and after trying a few of our beautiful colours, I decided that Soft Sky will be the perfect Stampin' Up! colour to use as a backdrop for my 'watercoloured' image. What do you think?
  • I also used a White Signo Gel Pen to add the Polka Dots!
I would also like to remind you of Stampin' Up!'s Designer Series Paper Promotion (ending the 31st of October)! Don't miss out! Buy 3 get 1 free!!

I hope to post again soon and if you don't want to miss out, why not follow me via e-mail? Click on the link to the right, leave your e-mail address and you will receive a notification when I post!

Stitched With Cheer ft Perfect Pines Framelits - Merry & Bright

Hello!

Thank you for popping in! I hope life is treating you kindly! How fortunate are we as cardmakers  to spread paper happiness!

My entry for this week's Global Design Project challenge (#gdp058) - a sketch challenge by Teneale Williams! If you ever feel you have lost your MOJO a sketch will never fail to inspire you! Not that it is even possible to loose your MOJO with Stampin' Up! products!!

I love the Black colour accents included in the Warmth & Cheer Designer Series Paper Stack! It adds a bit of edge to the traditional Green and Red colours! Also a perfect stack for masculine cards!

How far can you go with this sketch?! The possibilities are endless!

A Silky Taffeta Cherry Cobbler bow to add a touch of whimsy...!

My Product List

Notes

  • I used the diagonal stripe mask from the Seasonal Decorative Masks pack to add clear heat embossed detail to Kraft cardstock (love this stuff!) before die cutting a tree with one of the Perfect Pines Framelits Dies.
  • For my embossed greeting I used Archival Basic Black and Versamark ink with Clear Stampin' Emboss powder. I first added the Versamark ink and then the Basic Black ink to the stamp - be very careful though, Vellum can be a little slippery!
  • Find something special in your stash for your "star", I used a bigger sequin (left over from a retired kit) with a Rhinestone in the center!
  • A pretty bow adds even more festivity!
Let me know what you think! I love reading your comments!

Take care!

Wonderful Year ft the Holly Berry Happiness Bundle - It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year

Hello crafty people!

Today I'm sharing 1 of the 5 designs from my Stamp-a-Stack for Christmas! I kept the designs simple because each lady had to create 4 of each (5 designs all together 20 cards!) in roughly 4 hours (that was the plan)! It was a busy morning to say the least! A lot of talking, stamping and getting ink on the fingers!

Really quick but so bright and cheerful! Perfect for Christmas!

The Holly Berry Happiness Bundle is a must have for this year's handmade Christmas cards AND to earn a surprise gift when you purchase online using my Hostess code!).

My Product List

Notes

  • Adding  watermark stamping to darker cardstock by using either Versamark ink or the same ink colour as your cardstock (I used the Garden Green cardstock and the Garden Green Classic Stampin' pad in this case) makes for an interesting but subtle background.
  • To keep my Whisper White greeting piece in place I used Snail Adhesive - using the Washi tape only for decorative purposes.
  • Three red sequins adds sparkle as Holly Berries!
  • Add extra dimension to punched or die cut leaves and petals by bending and shaping them in the palm of your hand or with you thumb and index finger.
This Christmas card will be quick to replicate or even adapt to your taste!

I hope I have given you some inspiration to start your on handmade Christmas tradition! Let me know what you think!

Take care!

Rose Wonder - You're in my Thoughts and Prayers

Hello again!

After a very successful Stamp-a-Stack for Christmas (14 attendees!), I have my life back again! Yay!!

I am so happy to share my entry for this week's Global Design  Project Colour Challenge (#GDP057). Oh my, was I challenged! I didn't know where to start! Lucky there is a lot of inspiration given by GDP's amazingly talented designers! Other inspiration came from my mom! This card will go to her... just to remind her that I am always thinking of her (in between phone calls every second day)!

I tried three different card bases (Blushing Bride, Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White) before settling on Mint Macaron! Fingers crossed I made the right decision!

They may look like a match made in heaven...

A Project Life card from the Good Vibes Collection as backdrop for my greeting and die cut pieces!

My Product List

Notes

  • For this colour challenge I decided to start of with two of the colours that I know work together  well - Mint macaron and Blushing Bride - from there it became easier...
  • To add interest to my card base I used heat embossing - Gold this time!
  • And for even more shine, I used Gold sequins and the Gold Baker's twine from the trio pack in Stampin' Up!'s Holiday Catalogue!
  • I added piercing to the punched circle to frame the greeting. Always a quick way to add dimension and interest!
  • For the flower (three die cut layers) and the leaves I added a colour wash of Blushing Bride and Mint macaron to Shimmery White cardstock.
  • As an after thought, I tucked in softer Vellum die cut leaves (also from the Rose Garden Thinlits set).
My card for today! Let me know what you think!

Take care!
