I am officially in panic mode! The work of a card maker never ends! Not long before it is time to hand out Christmas cards at school and send cards in the mail to loved ones! AND I still have to do my SWAPS for Stampin' Up!s upcoming OnStage event! Upcoming as in the 14th of November 2015!!
If I managed to put you in a state of panic... hop on over and have a look at this week's Weekly Deals! Nothing like a bit of shopping to get you over your panic! LOL!
This week's Global Design Project Challenge is a colour challenge! Fun!
This is my Christmas card! A bit unconventional!
I love all these colours, but most probably would not have chosen to use them together! It turns out they are perfect for each other!
I used the last few left over sequins from my Watercolor Wishes Card Kit to add some sparkle to my card!
My Product List
Hints & Things
- I loved creating my own background with the circle stamp from the Work of Art stamp set! This was my way of using the colours in this week's challenge.
- Wooden embellishments are also amazing! I always put a layer of Whisper White Craft ink down before I come in with whatever colour I want to change them! This is also a great idea for Kraft or Crumb Cake cardstock (or any darker cardstock for that matter)!
- My Christmas greeting was heat embossed with Iridescent Ice Stampin' Emboss Powder - this adds a little bit more interest to my card and also work very nicely with the sequins.
Take care!
Mel xx
It took me a moment to work out where the spots or the DSP were from - very clever indeed, I am definitely going to reach for that stamp set more often -thanks for joining the Global Design Challenge this week!
