Happy Happenings - Happy Birthday

Hello!

I'm so happy to be posting again! My craft room is finally unpacked and in working order! I'm still getting used to my new surroundings - but not complaining at all!

I'm taking part in this week's Global Design Project - this week is a CASE the Designer ( Connie Collins ) challenge!

My card this week is also made with the birthday of a wonderful lady in mind...

Hints & Things

•  I heat embossed my Bloomin' Heart Thinlit (die cut from Kraft cardstock) with Gold Stampin' Glitter - feel free to use Gold Glimmer Paper. I do think the glitter makes for a beautiful gold effect! I added an extra layer of  glittery flowers to 3 of the solid flowers.
• For my pink flowers I used 3 punched flowers of the Itty Bitty Accent Punch Pack  and shaped them with my fingers to form tiny flower buds - to these I added extra shimmer with my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter pen.
• The stunning Pink enamel glitter dots are from the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit.
• Vellum adds an extra layer and helps make the card even softer.

Number of Years - Friend

Hello fellow cardmaker!

I hope 2016 is treating you well so far!

Less than a week before our "big" move (only about an hours drive from where we currently live)!

I arranged some time today for my kids to say good bye to their special friends and for a going away gift my little girl chose key rings - each received the initial of their first name. I new I wanted to incorporate the beautiful Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper in my gift bag or box project. This is what I came up with...

Hints & Things

• First of all I have to mention the Embossing Buddy since always neglect to do it! For clean heat embossing this little tool is magic! 
• The Precision Plate comes highly recommended for the detailed Bloomin' Heart Thinlits Dies. 
• I cut two layers of the heart - one Vellum and one Whisper White Cardstock. The Big Shot Die cut Brush comes in very handy to remove all the tiny pieces form the heart. It can be a tiny bit tedious, but believe me you will love the end result!
• I purchased the tiny flower embellishment is from a craft shop some time ago and I thought it was a perfect fit for the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series paper.
• This project used products from both the Birthday Bouquet Suite (p 8 of the NEW Occasions Catalogue) and the Love Blossoms Suite (p 16 of the NEW Occasions Catalogue. Both of these product suites a stunning!

My suggestion? Make yourself a cuppa or pour a glass of wine and page through this lovely catalogue!

Happy 2016!!!

Hello!

Let me start of by wishing each and everyone of you a wonderful, whole and happy 2016!

Stampin'Up! normally starts of a year with a bang! This year is no different! Today we say Hello to the new Occasions Catalogue (a stunner!) and as if that is not enough we get to earn some amazing free goodies all through Sale-a-Bration!

I made a very special card to wish you all the best for this coming year!

• I think (I know I always say this!) Stampin'Up! has out done themselves with both the New Occasions Catalogue and the Sale-a-Bration products!! They keep on raising the bar!
• The Shine on Specialty Designer Series Paper is truly beautiful and perfect for making both boxes or cards!
• The Large Numbers Framelit Dies has a coordinating photopolymer stamp set and I suggest start with this bundle! Bundle and save! The size of the numbers are perfect! Both on a card and for your wallet!

This week we will say good bye to some dear friends as we move on to a new adventure... Our moving date is set for a week from today! Look out for my next post... some pretty (and interesting)gift boxes!
