Hello again!
My projects for this week was inspired by the beautiful
Gold Soiree DSP (133697) - Garden Green and Calypso Coral were the colours I used from this amazingly beautiful paper! The effect I was aiming for.... Bokeh which refers to the quality of the blurring of out-of-focus images in a photograph. I watched a few videos on You Tube and was inspired by this easy technique from Wplus9
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghp6-Ga4wIA and this is my take on it! I made a stencil from a
Window Sheet (114323) using various circles - 3 different sizes - from the
Circles Framelits Collection (130911). I also used a
Sponge Dauber (133773) for my smallest circle!
Let's start at the beginning:
I sponged Calypso Coral (126983) and Garden Green (126973) randomly on some watercolour paper and then, using my Stampin' Spritzer (126185), I activated the ink by spraying it with water. You can wait for it to dry, but I'm not patient enough, so I heat set it.
Now you can start sponging with Craft Stampin' ink (101731) over your stencil with a sponge dauber (or sponge). The best way to go about it is to sponge your biggest circle with a very light hand and going darker with your Craft ink as your circles get smaller. My smallest circle was create with my sponge dauber. Overlap your circles - I find that working in a triangles of circles works nicely. Concentrate your smallest and brightest circles around your image.
