Hello Love - For Valentine's Day

Hello again!

And so starts the 2015 school year! I missed sharing on my blog!

With Valentine's Day just around the corner ( this coming Saturday to be precise!!),  my first project for the year had to include a heart!

For the heart card topper I used about 4 layers from the Stacked with Love DSP (p 5, OC, 137779) and one layer Typeset DSP (p 184, AC, 133704).  These two DSP's go like Peanut butter and Jelly! I used the heart shaped die from the BRAND NEW Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Die set (p 9, OC, 137547) to cut through the DSP layers and used my limited sewing skills to sew through the middle of the heart. I adore this heart shape, it is a beautiful round heart! It cut quite easily through all 5 layers, but I wouldn't add more layers.

Gift Box Punch Board - Festival of Trees Pop - Out Box!

Better late than never! I used Stampin'Up!'s  fantastic NEW Gift Box Punch Board to make this pretty box. The directions are on the board, so no need to look it up! I used the directions to make the smallest box, cut off the 4 triangles (that would be used to close the box) and made a lid from a 4" x 4" square cardstock, scored at 1"on all sides, cut the fold in tabs on all 4 corners and adhered with Sticky Strip. The inside of the box was decorated  with the Festival of Trees Photopolymer Stamp set (135059). This box is perfect for a piece of jewelry! Or a party favour!

Amazing Birthday - And Happy Fathers Day!

Hallo Stampers!

In Australia  we celebrate our dads the first Sunday in September - sooooo my projects for this week are for the Fathers out there! However, with a tweak here and there, they can work for any male celebration (Birthday, Thank you, etc).

I was lucky enough to receive the Amazing Birthday (134228) stamp set as a free set at Convention this year! How versatile is this set! In this card I used only parts of the Amazing Birthday stamp. The Flashback DSP works perfectly with this Tri-Fold card, because of the strong patterns and bright colours!

My Tri-Fold Card will not fit in any conventional envelope (it measures 10cm x 21cm) but I was going from the point of view that this will be a card handed over personally. Although this type of card is nothing new, my directions for my Tri- Fold Card:  Start of with an A4 cardstock (29.7cm x 21cm), measure from the bottom right hand corner 9.7cm towards the centre of the short side ( this with the cardstock in a landscape position in front of you). Connect the left hand top corner with this meauremet (the 9.7cm mark) and cut diagonally. Use your Stampin'Trimmer (129722) to score at 9.7cm and 19.8cm ( this with your flat, long side at the top of your trimmer). Or else just measure and score using a ruler and a scoring tool. Fold.

 I used retired products for the Paper Clip and the Die Cut letters but suggest the BRAND NEW Perfect Print Alphabet Bigz Dies (133725) and the Basics Hodgepodge Clips (133765) as replacements.

Flower Patch - Happy Birthday!

Hallo there!

After a wonderful (very cold) two weeks in South Africa I'm back! Catching up with the girls at my first class for the term was, as always, a fantastic experience!
