Day 3 of Stampin'Up!'s Online Extravaganza - Merry & Bright (23 November '16)

Hello!

http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/melsstampinblog/promotions

Welcome to Day 3 of our Online Extravaganza! Today I'm sharing another Christmas card using three more of my favorite products on sale at the moment! The Stitched with Cheer Photopolymer stamp set, Seasonal Decorative Masks and the Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies!

The sponged mask background really packs a punch!

Look how beautifully the Stitched with Cheer images coordinates with the Warmth & Cheer Designer Series Paper!

Notes
  • Before sponging over the mask I suggest that you keep the mask in place over the cardstock with Washi tape.
  • I used Crumb Cake to sponge over the Kraft cardbase.
  • This card is very easy to replicate, you can have them all ready to go for class mates, teachers, family and friends in no time! Why not get a few friends together for some moral support!
One more project using the Stitched with Cheer stamp set and the Bunch of Banners Framelits Die set...

Another quick share today! Let me know what you think! Remember to add this months Hostess Code (AVZMNAYW) when your use my Online Shop! Read more about the Hostess Code!

Take care!

World Card Making Day Stampin' Up! Blog Hop!

Hello!

Join me in celebrating World Card Making Day today the 1st of October 2016! What better way to celebrate this special day, than with a World Card Making Day Stampin' Up! Blog Hop! My name is Melodie Viljoen and I am posting from Australia! I love surprising someone with a handmade card! Not sure yet who will receive this one...

Flowers and a heart to make someone smile... might just add some chocolate!

Heat embossed greetings add extra interest to the flower petals...

My Product List

Notes

  • For the background I used one of Stampin' Up1 new Seasonal Decorative Masks with embossing paste, tinted with the beautiful Green, Pear Pizzazz.
  • To add extra interest to the flower petals I added heat embossed words with our White Stampin' Emboss powder! Really pretty!
  • The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is also from Stampin' Up!'s new Holiday Catalogue - yes I used the Presents & Pinecones DSP for my base layer!
I hope you are lucky enough to have some time to create your own cards on this very special card making day!

Let me know what you think! I would love to read your comments!

Take care!

Cottage Greetings - You are Amazing!

Hello!

Thank you so much for popping in! I have been playing around with Stampin' Up!'s new Seasonal Decorative Masks from our new Holiday Catalogue! Today's card is my entry for this week's Global Design Project theme challenge (#gdp055)! The theme... Random Acts of Kindness (RAK)! A tip from me would be to use only a loose piece of note card or paper for your message inside the card, this way the receiver can pass on the card and so also a Random act of Kindness.

A mix of Dapper Denim and Soft Sky makes for a pretty background!

This time I went with Silver accents. I like it with the blue!

My Product List

Notes

  • First I tinted Embossing Paste (any brand will do) with Soft Sky and Dapper Denim. I only mixed the colours in lightly - this way getting colour variations. After working the paste with a small spatula over the mask (onto watercolour paper) I left it overnight to dry. I also added some Flirty Flamingo and Emerald Envy watercolour wash to Watercolor Paper to dry overnight 9these will be used for my die cut pieces).
  • White heat embossed words from the Love & Affection stamp set adds more interest to my die cut pieces.
  • To finish of my card I inserted frayed spirals of a tiny scraps of Burlap Ribbon that was lying around on my still messy workspace.
In between preparing for my upcoming Stamp-a-Stack for Christmas (on the 11th of October '16) this card was a breath of fresh air! Let me know what you think!

Remember the 1st of October is World Card Making Day and we will be celebrating with a number of Blog Hops all through the day! Only current Stampin' Up! products will be used and crafters from all over the world will be taking part! If you don't want to miss out follow me via e-mail!

I hope to see you next time!
